The Fragrance Experience

35% Extrait de Parfum

Crimean Breeze is my impression of the Crimean breeze—the scent I would experience while driving along the roads of the Crimean Peninsula in summer.

The sea would remain within sight, while the mountains stretched along the other side. With the car windows open, the air descending from the highlands would carry the scent of Crimean lavender. A little farther along the road, the breeze would change, arriving filled with the fragrance of Crimean rose fields and delicate traces of peach blossoms scattered among the trees.

It was one of the most beautiful scents I experienced in Crimea—a fragrance that did not come from a single flower or place, but formed through the movement of the road. A breeze of lavender, followed by the scent of roses, then a soft floral touch, while the air between the sea and the mountains brought the entire scene together in a single moment.

I always felt that this scent deserved to become a perfume. From this idea, Taha Sayed and I began working on Crimean Breeze, trying to preserve the feeling of that road exactly as I remembered it. The result captures, to a remarkable degree, the scent I wanted to express: the breeze of Crimea in spring and summer.

The fragrance opens with a clear, luminous breath of Crimean lavender, calm, aromatic, and refreshing. Crimean rose then begins to emerge gradually—soft and radiant, without overwhelming the lightness of the lavender or the clarity of the opening.

A touch of clove moves through the flowers, lending them gentle warmth, while violet and iris introduce a smooth and elegant texture. Peach blossom appears delicately, giving the heart a radiant fruity-floral accent that recalls the trees lining the road.

As the fragrance settles, cedarwood and Malinau oud begin to emerge beneath the flowers. The oud neither weighs down the composition nor obscures its luminous character. Instead, it provides subtle depth and lasting structure, allowing the lavender and rose to become warmer and more connected to the skin.

Crimean Breeze remains luminous and serene, but it is not a light fragrance without foundation. It is a balance of air, flowers, and woods—between the freshness of lavender, the softness of rose, and the warmth of oud.

Crimean Breeze is the road as I remember it: the sea before me, the mountains beside me, and the Crimean breeze entering through the open car window, carrying lavender, roses, and peach blossom.
